My day: up a 7am, it felt like 5 because of the time change Got dressed, got myself together and made two lunches ( one for my brother) Clocked in by 8:27 and went to my class for my planning period, prepared my lesson and drank tea. 9:15 is my arrival duty, supervise kids as they are waiting to be searched and eating breakfast. 9:55 my first class, I am teaching two subjects at once so I have split each class. One half does computer work while the other half does art work. At 10:20 my team leader came in to tell me I am being pulled to go to 8th grade where several teachers are out. I plan a new impromptu art lesson in twenty minutes and gather the materials in 5. I set up in the 8th grade room and by 10:55 students arrive. 12:10 is lunch. My brother stops by the campus for his lunch and I got eat mine. By 12:40 I am back in class. Several classes go by uneventfully but the class I have for an hour and a half because 8th grade us put on lockdown. At four I report for dismissal duty and notice my ex texted me at 10:30. I text her back that I will call her when I get the chance. I clock out at 5,call the ex but she does not answer. I get home a little before 6, change clothes, walk the dogs, play fetch and cook dinner. I am too tired to write today, let alone get dragged into drama.
