My dear friends, I apologize for not being able to share a message - TopicsExpress

My dear friends, I apologize for not being able to share a message with you yesterday. For some reason, all my home computers have been down. It looks like Ill need to call Comcast to determine why. But for now, you get leftovers! I mean, youll get the message that I intended to write yesterday. Its left over from yesterday, so dig in! Three days. Its been three days since our brother in Christ, Noah Johnson, was rushed to the hospital, fighting for his life. To me, the details of why he was rushed to the hospital are immaterial. All I needed to know what that my brother...my friend...and his family are hurting, needing my prayers and yours. Three days. That doesnt seem like a long time, but a lot can happen in three days. Noah went from fighting for his life to knowing that hes going to pull through. Yes, there are a lot of unknowns at this point, and, quite possibly, for the foreseeable future. But Noah is going to live. We werent sure of that three days ago. Three days. Yes, a lot CAN happen in three days. Take a look at our Lord, Jesus Christ. Look at what happened to him in a three day period. He went from being loved to being persecuted, adored to being rejected, followed to being abandoned, from living to dying. But wait a moment! Jesus story doesnt END after he was crucified on the cross. His story is just beginning now! He was dead and buried for three days but rose again to reign in heaven above with God the Father! As the Casting Crowns song says, Death could not hold him, the grave could not keep him from rising again. (NOTE: As I write this message, I am sitting at the computer in the volunteer office at church, listening to KTIS on the radio. Any guess what song just came on the radio? Glorious Day by Casting Crowns! Go ahead and tell me THATS just a coincidence! There are no coincidences with God!!!) Friends, Noah and his family may have a long road ahead of them. There will be good days and not so good, and no matter what happens, we cant leave their side...just like Jesus never leaves our sides. We cant just stop praying for them because we now know that Noah will live. Now is the time for us to pray even more, to keep surrounding them in prayer, along with everyone else that needs our prayers. Remember: a lot can happen in just three days. Happy Easter! Amen. ~John Lloyd~
