My dog Ernie is a dirty baby - he stopped eating the day before yesterday. Immediately took him to vet. Diagnosis: tape worm! My eyes flipped back in my head. Vet gave Ernie a shot. Hes had bloody diarrhea for a couple of days, but hes getting better. Now I am known as a clean freak, and after many loads of laundry, I am feeling somewhat better. I look at his little disgusting body and am loving him and petting him and immediately sanitizing any parts of my person which come into contact with him. How could he get tape worm in my minuscule California backyard? The vet gave me many interesting and stomache-turning scenarios. But Im so glad hes improving!
