My ex husband was a photographer with The Air Shows that travel around the world. I saw some amazing behind the scenes air craft. The Russians were so sweet. They were so glad to be in the USA. Their planes were in incredibly bad repair, and they had to negotiate for their petrol. I met a pilot ,named Alex. He had defected from the USSR with his jet, landing in Afghanistan. He sought and received asylum in the USA.. Because Alex had first hand knowledge of Soviet air maneuvers, the US used him to help win the Gulf War. He had CIA protection for his first year here. He told the cutest story in his broken English. His protective unit was removed and he had to go f shampoo. shopping. He said, Regina, in this country there is so much of everything. Such plenty. I go to Safeway to buy shampoo. There is so much choice. Finally I pick shampoo. It is called Conditioner. I take home. Put on hair. No bubbles. I put on more. No bubbles. I put on half bottle. Still, no bubbles. I read direction. It say wait 20. I wait. Still no bubbles. Bless his sweet heart.
