My faith in basic humanity was restored today by a milkshake. $4.95 of malt shop decadence. It was delicious dont get me wrong, but the shake itself is not what made my day. 2 blocks away from a five guys,and a McDonalds, both of which were extremely crowded, i decided to go into an independently owned burger shop. Not a dingy, old mom and pop place in the sense that It was up to date as far as equipment and ordering systems are concerned, the man who made my milkshake brought it to me, still ordinary, he then places the cold aluminum container with an extra spoon and straw next to me, with the leftover milkshake that didnt fit into the glass. This is EXTRAORDINARY because in every other place in the world they throw it out, just like Starbucks throws out leftover chai tea and coffee right in front of you. WOW thank you I said to him, do you guys do that with every shake? Absolutely, we pay for it so our customers can enjoy it, not to throw it down the drain. There are a way things should be and that is it.
