My faith in humanity was just restored. While waiting for the bus - TopicsExpress

My faith in humanity was just restored. While waiting for the bus after work this older obese lady drove by me on her scooter she said good afternoon and I said the same. She continued to drive her scooter into tall brush that was about knee high with her scooter. The sidewalks didnt start for another 150 yards or so. Halfway through she got stuck and tried to get unstuck by rocking her scooter side to side when she suddenly tipped over and fell into the brush and almost into the street. As I ran to help her up I noticed that at this busy intersection no one was stopping to help. Older people who looked like they were close to their thirties or mid twenties would just swerve to the next lane and keep driving. As I got to her I thought to myself there is no way my skinny ass is about to lift her of the ground and back into the scooter. Then when I least expected it two kids about my age pulled over and helped me get her onto her scooter. She thanked us over and over again an said she would be more careful driving her scooter next time. As I thanked the guys that helped me I returned to my bus stop and began the long wait again. When the kids pulled over again and offered to give me a ride home. These kids werent christian or of any religion from what I could tell from the music they were bumping and clothes and words they were using. These were just kids a lot of us are to quick to judge. Out of all the people who drove by they were the ones who stopped to help. Goes to show that their is good in our generation and things arent as hopeless as they seem.
