My family will be heading back to Mason City in a few weeks for a vacation. I was wondering if anyone in the area knows of some fun and cheap if not free things to do with a 5 year old and 8 year old. I heard about a rock quarry that is possibly our south east of Mason City that you can dig for fossils and such. Anyone know of this place? Also am planning trips to East Park. Can you still play in the river/creek? I remember walking across them when I was younger.
