My fav post goes out to Bethany Dull. My thoughts exactly. The question asked by the news station was: do you agree with the familys decision? It doesnt matter if I agree with them or not. What matters is that they did what they felt was best to support & protect their child. I think no matter how open-minded you are as a parent that dealing with your child being transgendered is not easy. Even Cher, an LGBT icon, had issues adjusting to her childs transition from Chastity to Chaz Bono. Parenting is not an easy task, but you dont sign up to be parents only if their perfect Gerber babies & straight as arrows. You love them no matter what. Maybe Ryland IS going through a phase, but this is Rylands identity now & the parents are doing what they feel is best. Who am I to judge how they love and support their child unconditionally?
