My favorite genre within the world of classical music is definitely PIANO CONCERTOS! :) I had a blast accompanying my dear friend, Peter Murray, in November & December on the 1st movement of Camille Saint-Saëns 2nd Piano Concerto in G Minor (in the preliminary & final rounds of the BYU undergrad concerto competition). Peter was one of the winners chosen to perform his concerto w/ the BYU Symphony Orchestra on 2/25/15 in the de Jong Concert Hall!! ♪♪ This piece has so much fire, beauty, & intensity! And I love the sensitivity & passion that Peter brings to it! Peter is a piano major at BYU studying with Dr. Irene Peery-Fox. This video was filmed by my friend, Lindy Hyatt (w/ my camera), during the preliminary round of the concerto competition in the Madsen Recital Hall on 11/17/14.
