My fiance and I lived in the apartment right in front of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and not long before we moved, our dog Luke and his puppy played in the very tennis court located behind him. I remember his girlfriend telling me that she was watching the dog for him while at a dentist appointment, telling me that he is in the army. You can just tell by his smile he did not deserve the events that occurred today. The fact that Luke got to play with his puppy, although for a short period of time, reminds me now to never take advantage of the time you have with loved ones. We didnt get to know Nathan, although we saw him around, we will forever be grateful that he served for our country. Rest in peace Nathan, we will always think of you when it comes to Canadas strength and will to come together as one. - From Shelly Sager.
