My friend Brian Gersh and I are reaching out to ask our friends to help keep the homeless people in Santa Monica and Venice a bit warmer this holiday season. While homelessness is a sad state of affairs on many levels and we intend to address many of the core issues at hand as we move our effort forward, right now we are simply collecting as many blankets as possible so we can distribute them over the next few weeks. Its simple...people living on the street are hungry, tired and cold. We can make a difference without much effort. Please help out if you can. This Saturday, we will be at 838 16th Street (one block south of Montana) in Santa Monica between 1-3pm. We will be standing curbside to collect blankets so we wont take much of your time. If youre up for it, youre more than welcome to come in for some coffee, tea or pressed juice. Were not asking for much...just a few minutes out of your day.
