The year on the calendar is a year after the Orange Bowl madness. The photo is from the Little Orange Bowl Parade a few days before the big televised night time parade. For 50¢ you could put someone’s name on their birthday or anniversary. My Aunt Helen ponied up to put the whole family on the calendar, which is why to this day I know when family birthday’s are (were). I want say it was actually one of the “Operation Orange Bowl” fundraisers, but because the final paperwork didn’t make it to the fundraising company/printer in time the calendar was made for the next year. This New Years Eve is the 45th Anniversary of the Orange Bowl Parade we marched in. Who is up for a New Years Eve Orange Bowl Band reunion? I don’t have a lot of free time but I will offer 1 hour a week to work on it. Who else is interested in a reunion and helping organize it?
