My friend England RFU Physio Phil Pask went out of his way today to treat my SI joint problem I have had since Friday, he was over in Toulon, France with Leicester Tigers over the weekend so I couldnt see him until today. He was with Northampton Saints this morning then came over to Olney to see me before heading off to Manchester. After an initial assessment it was decided that it was a locked up SI joint on my right hand side with my glutes locked in spasm too. This was causing my coccyx to be pulled forward causing lower back pain too. After some assisted stretching, some dry needling (Acupuncture) and a little manipulation Im fixed with just a little soft tissue inflammation that will settle over next couple of days. I cant thank Phil enough as I was in agony. I used RICE Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation to subdue the inflammation over the weekend. With correct timely treatment you can be up and running again quickly, ignore it and it will drag on.
