My friend Kevin Nutt recently posted in this group about Alabama native William Christenberry, a well-known visual artist that lives in Washington, D.C. Here is a video on Youtube of William Christenberry presenting to the Smithsonian. When you have a spare hour, it is worth watching because to many of us travelling around Alabama taking photographs of forgotten and abandoned places and things, the commentary of Mr. Christenberry, as he shows slides of his work, will resonate fairly strongly. It is a rather authorative validation for our common fascination with such things.
