My friend Linda and I went to Mother Earth News Fair held at 7 Springs yesterday and had such a good time. Of course when we got there it was pouring down rain but that didnt dampen our excitement for all that we were going to experience and learn (the sun did eventually come out!). I love going there because being with that many people that are all striving to become independent and wanting to learn more about all the many ways to live less commercially inspire me. To see thousands of folks milling about gathering information on how to make their little spot of this wonderful planet a better place just tickles my soul. I got to see some of my friends there too which was great fun! I was not so lucky to attend the workshops I had outlined because 3 of them were canceled, but I filled my time talking to lots of vendors that are full of knowledge. I did get to hear some fantastic speakers regarding aromatherapy and flu prevention treatment tips and on getting my bees ready for winter. I bought a couple of plants for healing and more books on subjects ranging from beekeeping to gardening to healing naturally. This is my winter stash and will keep me going during those dark cold days to come. It was a long tiring day but so worth going.
