My friend Mark has filed pro se in federal court today. He is asking for an attorney. As one of the defendants is the children’s law center, a non–profit solely funded by the new York state Unified Court System, who serve 10,000 indigent children per year I am sure there are other fathers out there who have experienced civil rights violations. If a pattern can be shown of biasness and abuse steps can be taken. Mark has tried doggedly over the years to be heard and for his efforts he has had no contact with his daughter with the exception of 1 hour over the last 19 months. When he prevails his victory will impact perhaps thousands of children who have like wise been torn from the lives of their loving fathers.
