My friends near and far. Most of you know about my latest adventure but some of you dont. Its about time the rest of you are included in my journey. Im taking part in a project called Kapua. The idea is to raise funds to help developing countries by climbing mountains. People of Kapua are ordinary people, who have a desire to help and to challenge their own boundaries. Participants are selected through an open search. A group of 17 people will raise funds for the selected destination. The group will travel to their destination country and have an opportunity to see where the collected funds will be spent. During the trip, the group also faces the physical challenge of climbing a mountain. The sixth project, KAPUA 2014 Ethiopia raises funds to support girls and women in co-operation with The Family Federation, Plan Finland, Taksvärkki ry and Kynnys ry. The goal of KAPUA 2014 Ethiopia team is to raise a total of 100 000 euros to support girls and women in developing countries. In October 2014 the selected group will travel to Ethiopia, where they will get to see in practice how the collected funds are used. Thereafter, the group will climb the highest mountain of Ethiopia, Ras Dashen (4550 m). Now you have the opportunity to be a part of this fundraising and help building better opportunities to girls and women in Sierra Leone, Uganda, Nepal and Ethiopia.
