My good friend John Berglund has passed away after a very long, hard battle with cancer. We met years ago, briefly, at a Professional Photographers of Idaho meeting. One day a few years ago he came into my studio, re-introduced himself, and began a friendship with me that touched my very soul. I came to love him like a brother. We drove each other crazy. He was so opinionated, black and white, and narrow minded, especially about photography. Just. Like. Me.....We did agree on the important things, though, like love of God, Family, and the love of Photography. I would take all I could, and would finally say, Screw you, Berglund! He would give me that wonderful smile and say Right back at you, Critchfield!....and then wed laugh and go to lunch and argue some more We ran into a friend of his once, and he introduced me as his brother from another mother...thats how we felt. Ill miss our times together. Really good friends are hard to find and sometimes harder to keep, and you my friend were a keeper. Thank you for being my pal. If anyone deserved to zoom straight to heaven, it would be John.
