My goodness! Just listened to an amazing sermon and am pasting my notes. If you want to be encouraged or reminded of the truth....please take a moment to read. Its long but so worth it.... Taken from Steven Furtick, Theres been a change of plans. Some of our greatest invitations in our life will come in the form of an interruption. Dont get so caught up in your plans that you miss His purpose. Plan for the inconveniences bc His joy and purposes may actually be found right in the center of everything but our own plans. We fall in love with our own ideas of what it all should look like that we get disappointed when it doesnt look that way although it was His plan all along. Sometimes our expectation of perfection stops our invitation of progress. Stop expecting perfection and start celebrating progress....in yourself AND in the progresses made. Thankfully the Lord has prepared and meets us right in our imperfection. He created us imperfect bc He is the one to call us Perfect ONLY IN HIS image. Dont plan for people to be perfect especially this Christmas. Dont plan for others to say exactly what you want them to say. Be open to HIS plan. If youre so engulfed in your plans-you cant see His purpose nor progress in yourself and others. Plan for impossibility. Impossible in your own mind but possible only with Him bc NO WORD FROM GOD WILL EVER FAIL. Some people are carrying impossible weight this season. He came to take it. Dont you let the pain make you miss the purpose! We can so easily get caught up in disappointments but dont let your plans that arent happening make you miss His plans that ARE happening. What if your plan Bs are Gods plan As. Jeremiah 29:20-11. We get plans confused with promises. Just because the plan has changed doesnt mean the promise has. He hasnt changed His mind. Its still for you and He will do all it takes to bring you to His purpose and heart. You may not be able to change the situation but you can change your attitude. Accept the change of plans. The plan may change but the promise still stands - be grateful.
