My gorgeous little blessing turned one today - its unfathomable! This time last year my wonderful husband was with our little man as he was admitted to the NIC ward, weighing a tiny 2kg and fighting hard to grow strong and breathe unaided, My family were at my mothers bedside as she remained in a coma at westmead inspiring her recovery with news of our little boys birth. And I laid at nepean with doctors explaining the complications for both myself and my little Theodore. My gorgeous mother was the encouraging voice in my head spurring me forward and I continued to tell myself that I could do it because I am my mothers daughter. And despite the spinal blocker and Caesarian restrictions on my body I knelt beside my bed each night praying for my little boy and my beautiful mother - and God in his mercy and love, answered my prayers. I needed my mother to meet him, I needed her to hold him, I needed to see her radiant smile upon his face and hear her call him her littlest boy...and she did. Our little Theodore is our entire families blessing - how God in his compassion sent me the one thing He knew would save me during my darkest time. Theodore you are my twinkle in the stars, my light in the darkness, my colours in the rainbow - you are my joy and laughter - and I love you, I love you with a love thats insurmountable, and together with your Grandma we share a love that will forever surround you and protect you my little Teddy - God Bless and Happy Birthday.
