My grandad survived the horrors of the war, in tact physically at least; and so I am here. How many people are not here, who might have been. How very lucky we all are, to be amongst the families that were able to live on. I wish I was able to thank him, our grandfather, Cecil Hodge Robson. What horrors he must have lived with all his life. I wish he knew his great grand-daughter stood this month at the Menin Gate, and paid tribute to his friends. We will not forget.
