My grandfather, Don Ladner, went home to be with Jesus earlier this evening at 9:19pm- His loving wife, Iris Ladner, was by his side along with all 4 of his daughters and all 5 of his grandchildren. We were blessed to spend his last moments with him. When I got to my grandparents this evening I felt led to pray the rosary and my grandfather passed away right after I finished praying it at his bedside. We are happy for him to be in peace and no longer be suffering and sad for us because we will miss him greatly. Fr. Frank came over to be with us and pray with us tonight and that was also a great blessing. My life and many other lives are better because we knew and were influenced by this wonderful man. I admire my grandmother, Iris, because to me she is everything a good, holy, devoted wife should be- she has loved him and cared for him for over 60 years and till the very end has been by his side- I truly pray to be even a portion of the kind of woman and wife she is. I am thankful for the life of Donald Thomas Ladner, my PAW PAW- I hope I make him proud here on earth and I know he will now be praying for all of us in heaven! St. Don of Slidell, pray for us
