My grandpa is home, thank you all for your prayers and well - TopicsExpress

My grandpa is home, thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. My grandpa served in the Korean War, he saw action, witnessed his best friend die and even had a grenade go off in his tank. He never complained. He came home from war. He came home, bought a Studebaker, purchased his parents house and got a job at a bank down the road doing maintenance. He married a sweet woman he met at church whom died of cancer. He later married my grandmother. He had that job for 40 years before he retired. He got up every morning, read his bible as he ate breakfast, made his lunch and went to work. He tithed, he went to the same church twice a week and did everything the best he knew how. Hes never raised his voice at me or in front of me. He saved his money. Working his same job and paid all of his bills on time. I was the first newborn baby he ever saw. He taught me that the person he is, the person that fought for our freedom just so happens to be a dying breed. He is 84 years old this year and still manages to do simple tasks like pulling weeds and makes waking up early look like something to be jealous of. My grandpa just so happens to be an amazing person. I hope I can be half the person he is.
