My great grandfather was born in a boat going to Puerto Rico from Spain. He was white with blue eyes. My great grandmother was afro-caribbean. He wouldnt marry her for that reason. They had 16 children, and out of all those children, he gave his last name to only 3, that I know of. The 3 named Melendez had strait hair and fair skin. The rest of the kids had to take their mothers last name, Torres, because they were either too dark skinned, or their hair was too curly. They were treated differently than lighter kids, from him. So yeah, I totally agree with the bol. I dont think I can really acknowledge that man as my great grandfather. He probably wouldnt like me too much anyway.
