My hand clapping sermon has now received a little over 1200 views - TopicsExpress

My hand clapping sermon has now received a little over 1200 views on YouTube in just 6 days. I have had a lot of positive feedback from this lesson and some negative. Most of the negative feedback is from those who don’t see a problem with musical instruments to begin with, and a common complaint is that I am majoring on a minor. However, preaching on what is considered a minor by some is not majoring on a minor if the lessons you preach as whole are diverse, which mine are. I preach on all topics from what some consider minor and what some consider major. So, I am not majoring on a minor. Also, people need to understand that perceived small things can be used by the devil to corrupt the church. No one wakes up one day and changes how we worship or live for God in some major way. No, it almost always starts with small things. Think about king Darius, he had great respect for Daniel. How did the king’s people try and get rid of Daniel? Was it by simply going to the king and telling him the Daniel should not have the position of authority he has because he not one of us? No, they came up with an idea to trick the king into to making the decree that he made. He had no idea, they were going to use this to try and get rid of Daniel. Had he known, he would not have made the decree. Even in our society, think about how powerful small things are. Look at what the minority has achieved in our nation. Think about how criminals are freed because of a small technicality. Think about how Al Capone was taken down. Instead of using things that he was guilty of that would be hard to prove, they used tax evasion to get to him. So, while it is true that we should not major on any given topic whether perceived by us as being small or major, we should preach the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27). I hope my lesson on hand clapping continues to cause people to think about the practices they add to their worship to God and really focus on what those practices lead to. https://youtube/watch?v=Rovn30KwgdQ
