My heart aches for this family…most people who have never had to be subjected to police manhandling your body will not understand the helplessness, terror and dehumanization felt when their arms are around your neck, knees in your back, and a cold, steely gun placed in your face…there is a connection to the number of black and brown men who have had such experiences, and the reason why its hard for us to trust law enforcement. The trauma is real…the pain you never forget…the humiliation is palpable…the anxiety is a burden no one should have to carry...to know that you can walk down the street and be subject to abuse at the hands of those that look like you and those who are sworn to protect you is a psychological conundrum only God has allowed me to conquer…with Love…may this same grace and peace and love move us all to ACTION…and unity to stop these acts of violence whether they come at the hands of those who look like us, or those who are sworn to protect us. #LiveFree #StopTheViolence #AllLivesMatter #SpeakingFromExperience
