My heart is absolutely broken. I just got word that Smiley has crossed the bridge. She was an amazing dog who helped Corridor Rescue Inc. volunteers rescue dogs off the streets. She lived on a dead end road where hundreds of dogs have been dumped, and she would help look over these dogs until we could find rescue for them. She was the sweetest, most loyal dog. I made a point to go visit her every time I was back in Houston. I had the joy of seeing her last April, and even offered for her to come live with me if her owner ended up moving overseas. Run free baby girl.
