My holiday cupcake story for 2014: So, yesterday I baked a total of 72 cupcakes, 30something for Cedess class for her to celebrate her birthday early with her classmates, 30 something for my daughter Ash to share with her soccer teammates for her birthday. My husband calls me at work last night to let me know that when they got home, one of the pans had been attacked by ants! There werent any cupcakes from that pan to salvage, they hall had to be tossed! UGH!! Damn ants! So I buy more cake mix and figure I can make Ashs cupcakes on either Monday or Tuesday for her team then. So this morning, I decorate all the remaining cupcakes. I ended up with an extra 10 cupcakes to spare so I decide to save those for later in a plastic container. I leave the kitchen to change clothes to leave to deliver Cedess cupcakes and return to the kitchen to find the container is missing! I walk around the kitchen and living room assuming Haloa got a hold of the container, only to find the container of newly decorated cupcakes UPSIDE DOWN on Cedes bed! Thanks Haloa đŁ luckily I could salvage some of those cupcakes, they werent that damaged. So I leave the house with the full pan of decorated cupcakes to Keaukaha to deliver to Cedess class. I reach the school and carefully balance the pan of cupcakes up the A building stairs, and as I reach the last step to the top, I TRIP on the step, fell forward, all the cupcakes flew up and landed sideways and upside down in the pan!! I salvaged and tried to fix the cupcakes the best I could and walked them to Cedes class. Her class was more than appreciative for the cupcakes which made up for the fact that to me they were ruined. But since they were so happy, and my daughter was thrilled that I was able to finish her cupcakes and bring them to class, so it didnt matter that the cupcake decorations got totaled, lol! I walked away with scrapped up knees, ankles, shins, toes and a scraped up elbow, and some marshmallow with mint and chocolate in my hair đđ but in the end, seeing my daughter happy and her class thrilled for cupcakes was all worth it!
