...My home girl and super- fried Venice Hardwick called me Sat. when I got home from church.... wanted to know if I was home ..... !!!... walked in my door with almost a full bussell of Cabbage Sprouts ..... !!!..... ( my baby girl is always blessing me - truly a saint of the Most High God ) ... I usually braise them when cooking .....but these were so big and green leafy ...cut them up like collard greens .... steamed a few pieces of smoked turkey and dropped them in and steamed for 2 hours adding a cup of hot water when the liquid was low until tender .....when liquid slightly covered the bottom of the pot ....added balsmic vinegar ...chopped white sweet onions , green, red, yellow and orange bell pepper , a teaspoon of sugar , salt, pepper ,thyme , basil a shake ofdill ....and stir fried in Corn oil ....!!!....baaaaaaaaaaby ....!!!.... aint gonna even try to tell you of the taste .... had to experiment because cabbage can be a bit tuff this time of year ..... cooked corn bread ...fried 2 packs of family sized packs of chicken ...buttered rice and steamed broccoli for my grandson ...glad I did ...because in walks my daughter Shanikka Keepinitrealalwayz and her eaaaattiing fiance ..Mike Mason ..... and Mr. Gentry ....wwhhee..... they destroyed my kitchen ..... lolllll....I went to bed ...!!.... had no control ...... my future son-in-law ..who insist I cook eeevvvverryyyy Sunday ..(like he crazy --- but I do ...ccchheeshhh) ....insist that he never , ever , ever eats anybodys cabbage .....didnt tell him it was cabbage and stuffed his mouth full......he walked out the door munching with a piece of cornbread in his hand .... he loved them ...thought he was eating greens .... and tried to take my pound cake home ...!!...Glory...!!!...... off the chain....!!!.....lolllll....... thanks Venice ...ya aint nothin but suga.... still have some in the fridge...betta stop by and grab a bite .... you too Prophetess-Lady Michelle Hagans ..and my niece Jackie Lightner-Stevens .... but I refuse to go in the kitchen ...HELP YA SELF....!!...... body on Max ...tellin me along with Rev. Mother Melva Godhigh Johnson that its time to rest ....I yield...!!!.....
