My hope this breathtakingly beautiful sculpture wins the Peoples Choice Award at this years Lorne Sculpture Biennale. Entitled The End, The Beginning and created by Geoffrey Ricardo. Such poignancy and beauty, drew me back to this space at 6am, long before the sun rose. Sharing in the significance and the serenity was very special to me. I wish to commend the Curator, Julie Collins, for her brilliant and utterly sympathetic placement of the some 40 odd outdoor exhibits. There was much thought given to their locations and truly added to the pleasure of being there to enjoy and digest. Lornes beautiful landscape was a perfect Gallery in which to showcase what I believe to be some of the finest sculptures I have seen outside National Galleries.
