My hope with this group is for breeders and pet owners who are interested in genetics to feel comfortable enough to post photos of interesting color combinations without judgement for general discussion to help further understanding of inheritance in our breed. I also want to initiate some group discussion about the possibility of doing genetic study on any inherited traits we are noticing in our dogs for the future betterment of the breed as a whole. Perhaps over time people will be interested to submit DNA samples in groups to help save costs.
