My husband cast spell on me, says woman A Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan on Thursday dissolved the four-year old marriage between one Ayishat Adedoyin and her husband, Abdulrahaman, after the former claimed a spell was cast on her to use a Muslim female clothing. The presiding judge, Mr Ezekiel Ogundipe, held that there was no longer love between the couple and consequently dissolved the union. Ayishat had told the court that Adedoyin had been maltreating her and forcing her to wear the Muslim clothing even though she was not one. “ I did not know when I started wearing the clothing, I just found it on myself. He must have cast a spell on me. “ I am not a Muslim, I don’t want to marry him anymore. “ Besides, he beats me up at will without any reason, he is not responsible, he does not cater for the needs of his children and I,” Ayishat said. But responding, Adedoyin refuted the allegation leveled against him, saying he did not cast a spell on the complainant. “To be truthful, she started using the Muslim clothing in my house, but we had a mutual agreement that she would do so. `` I even saw a text message on her cell phone where a man directed her to move into his house as a wife. “She is too quarrelsome; she doesn’t even take to my instructions anymore. “I am glad that she is going,” Adedoyin stated.
