My husband had never had allergies until he moved to Oklahoma. He just surrendered to the fact that every spring, he would have to dope up on Claritin, Benadryl, Allegra, and Chlor-Trimeton (as well as numerous nasal sprays) that would leave him with a floating sensation, groggy and unable to fully function as a father and employee. Not to mention, these meds would not always work! Just before spring came last year, I decided we were going to go full bore, not buy any pharmaceuticals, and try EO’s. We put 5 drops of Lavender in a gel capsule, twice a day when allergies began. After 24 hours, his eyes were not read and he was much less congested. Within 48 hours, he no longer had sneezing attacks, could fully breath out of both nostrils, and had no more sinus pressure! He dropped down to 2 drops once a day after a week and after a week on that regimen, was able to only have to take a lavender capsule if he felt allergies coming on.
