My husband is a serious holiday planner. He pores over books and websites. Prints out a ton of Google maps that are clipped together in chronological order. Has more than enough hikes and waterfalls and beaches identified than well ever have time to see. Me? Not so much. I like to get someplace. Plop down in the hotel with a cool drink and a stack of tourist brochures that I grabbed in the lobby. Make a plan for the rest of the day and repeat until its time to come home. Makes for some interesting interactions before, during and after the vacation...
