My husband just brought this bench into the house for me and I burst into tears. We officially have our first family heirloom from us to our girls. The girls understand the story and know that they will pass this down to their children one day as well. See, this bench was made from the crib that both girls slept in as babies. My Grandmother bought it for me when I was pregnant with Kaelyn, which made it even more special to me. I always knew I would pass it along to them, but when I heard it was recalled, we decided to repurpose it. Joe made me this bench over the last couple weeks and finished it today. I just need some vintage yellow pillows to complete it. So, here is the first picture. My girls with their bench. And one day, their babies on the bench and so on. Those who know me, know how important family and leaving behind a legacy are to me. Aubrey looked at Kaelyn and said You know we get this bench one day, Sis!
