My idea for my new twelve-book Western Romance Series, BRIDES OF - TopicsExpress

My idea for my new twelve-book Western Romance Series, BRIDES OF DIABLO, came about when I was in the midst of working on my ten-book Western Romance Series, THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES. I had just watched the film COWBOYS & ALIENS Starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde, and then thought about a similar Supernatural Western that I had on DVD called PURGATORY Starring Sam Shepard, Eric Roberts, Randy Quaid, Brad Rowe, Donnie Wahlberg, J.D. Souther, and Amelia Heinle. Fast forward to March 10, 2013 and March 12, 2013!!! I had the most AMAZING, AWESOME experience when I was invited to the Melody Ranch film set of a Supernatural Western called SIX GUN SAVIOR. Back in December 2012, I had won the SIX GUN SAVIOR Contest - if you get the most friends to like the SIX GUN SAVIOR Facebook page, youll get to visit the film set, and meet the cast and crew. This AMAZING, AWESOME experience really got me excited again about doing a Supernatural Western Series. Until I realized one thing - I needed my Western Series to be REALISTIC. I did compromise, though, by making the very last scene in my THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES Series very Supernatural-like. I knew right away that BRIDES OF DIABLO would be set in Texas in a time period as far away as possible from THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES. I wanted it to be darker and grittier, and as far away as possible from 20th Century technology. To put me in a Texas mood, I chose names for my heroines that sounded Texan (all my heroines were born and raised in Texas), and chose songs by Texas musicians to play in the background while I wrote certain scenes. I hope that you enjoy this new Western Romance Series, and look forward to hearing your thoughts and comments when each book is released. My official website for BRIDES OF DIABLO is bridesofdiablo.wordpress -Amanda A. Brooks
