My immediate takeaway from the movie Noah is that there were most certainly many creative liberties taken, to say the least. However, in my opinion, none of them were so distracting or egregious as to compromise the integrity of the story (which is very short and leaves MUCH unexplained/un-expounded upon - perhaps because not every detail was important enough to make it to us). BUT - to anyone who may not be familiar with the Biblical account of Noah, I would STRONGLY suggest reading it before (or just after) you see the movie, simply due to the nature of this particular account and the impact that it has on the Christian faith, versus something like a novel being made into a movie. You can find the story of Noah beginning at the end of Genesis 5, and continuing through chapter 10. If you have seen the movie and have an opinion, feel free to chime in.
