My impact by books, ranked by fiction and non: If I had to name the first three books that either enormously changed my thinking or radically shaped how I view the world... Non-Fiction: 1.Journey Through Grace by Richard Belcher 2.Humility by CJ Mahaney 3.The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom Runners up were: several Charles Spurgeon sermons, Bride of Fortune by Harnett T. Kane, Concerning Christian Liberty by Martin Luther, For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn, All of the Benge books and The Mystery of History all 3 volumes, To Train up a Child by The Pearls*, and Created to be His Helpmeet by the Pearls* Fiction: 1.Ishmael by E.D.E.N. Southworth 2.Les Miserables by Hugo 3.Jane Eyre by Bronte Runners up were: Cruel as the Grave and it’s sequel by EDEN Southworth, ALL of the Bronte sisters books, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy and believe it or not…The Hunger Games by Collins…but probably not because of why you would think it did. Wow, that was hard to list, especially without giving additional commentary on why they stood out, or which ones I would, or would not necessarily, recommend. I did, however, put an astric* by two books I no longer recommend, even though they impacted my life for the good, at the time of their reading. I am working on reading replacements for those two right now. The hardest part about sharing this is that I still have SO many non-fiction books that I long to read and add to that list…books that I just know will really shape my world view. Books like Pilgrim’s Progress and Mere Christianity. And lots of books by authors like RC. Sproul and McAuthor One day….
