My kids were like all kids and couldnt wait to get out of school. However summer on a dairy farm has its own meaning of summer vacation. We do have a lot of fun as a family but after all the cows are milked, chores are done and crops are put in for the day. Harley has been doing the late milking this week along with a babysitting job she took and has averaged about 5 hrs of sleep per night and Kiersten has picked up the morning shift along with her babysitting job. Chelsey got a day off but will be back to the grind tomorrow night. Farm kids arent spoiled they earn everything they get and here there work is usually done with a smile!
