My late night reflections: I noticed this a lot this weekend (or I just had my listening ears on), but I heard a lot of Shes not using flash! and Why isnt she using flash? while shooting inside a church/barn/country club type settings. Dont fret, dear sweet onlookers! The client has booked me because they know that I know what I am doing. In this case, I know how to shoot in low light situations. Flash (on or off camera) in my opinion is harsh and unnecessary unless it is night time. My artistic style is all about natural light, and the client books me because they like that! There are these really nifty settings called ISO, shutter speed and aperture that I can set on my camera to let more light into my lens and camera. I can make it look like an amazingly well lit space with just a few turns of my magic dials. That is why they call in the professionals for big events. Nothing is ever left up to chance. So, if you see me out there shooting my booty off with no flashing--trust me! I am taking good care of your loved ones.
