My life at 47 The serene weather, the soothing sound, sweet as honey, bright as the morning sun, clear as crystal and sparkling like raw gold reminds me that i am 47 today. 47 is a beautiful year and today is a beautiful day, a day of appreciating God for his mercies and compassion on my beautiful but wonderful life. 47 reminds me that I am here because of the mercy of God not because I merit it. 47 reminds me that Gods mercy is beautiful and so thanksgiving will remain my watchword. Life is a memorable stage if we appreciate God and find answers to the question Did we come by chance EVOLUTION or are we a product of a grand designer JEHOVAH GOD, the maker of all good and brilliant things, my creator. I am a true convince of the marvel of Gods mercies and grace. The beauty of life and the misery of Death not to talk of the life after now. As I prepare for thanksgiving every day of my life, I prepare for the final hour as that is the beauty of celebrating birthdays, the beauty of creation remains the hallmark of Gods wonders. Birthday is the brother of death as each birthday open the door somehow, somewhere and someday to our journey home. Birthday is a time to reflect and draw closer to God in thanksgiving and act of charity by empowering the less endowed and spreading joy and kindness to all as nothing come easy to me my entire 47 years. As I celebrate, I think of those on the battlefield of cancer of any form. Those suffering from heart diseases without the support of loved ones I thank God for my friend of 25 years Dr(Barr) Paul Oweh for his kindness and sweet heart. I thank my children for their love and care. I thank our families for their support. l thank all my childhood friends Guinness,Vera, Peter,Godwin, ochuko,Tony, Dominica, Risikatu, Ese,Julie,Omonigho,Janet, aunts Lizzy and Bridget Plus all my friends not mention here, l love you all. l am not forgetting those that have travelled the journey of all mortals. A day of thanksgiving as I thank the Oleh,Oyede, Ozoro, Uzere and Emede my heritage, Ughelli where I spent my childhood and Emevor where the rest of my life will be spent and hopefully be my final resting place as one day my drum will stop beating. God bless.
