My life growing up was very hard, my dad passed away tragically - TopicsExpress

My life growing up was very hard, my dad passed away tragically when I was 13 years old. I felt like my world ended. He was hit by a car on a dark road where we were fishing. When he got hit, we couldnt find him and sadly I was the one who spotted his body. I held him as his soul was being taken by the Lord and he died in my arms. That is a memory that will stay with me forever. My mom tried everything possible to raise me right, but she wasn’t herself after my dads tragic death. Through out the years though, she and my current step-dad never gave up on me. My dad was the one person I looked up to and while he was alive, he always had me on check. Without my dad around, my life took a wild turn with me being in and out of correction facilities, being shot 3 different times and in the gang life. It has been a roller coaster ride for me, but I never lost faith in the Lord or my pops, I know he has always been there helping thru my struggles in life. The reason I post this is for all to see that anything is possible in life, no matter what anyone tells you. Walking with an “X on my back has haunted me for many years.
