My little guy, Okie, has been my most loyal, faithful and constant companion since he came into our lives in 2000. He was the cutest fluff ball you ever saw and Cortney fell in love with him. She wanted so badly for him to be her dog, but for some reason he bonded with me. Weve been through a lot together. Over the past 3 years, Ive seen his decline with my eyes but my heart has refused to accept it. Today, Ryan took him to the vet after 2 episodes of unresponsive behavior. I met them there. The vet said his congestive heart failure is much worse. We can make him comfortable as long as possible, but we need to face our impending loss, which will probably be by Christmas. How can one fuzzy, grumpy old fart mean so much?
