My mind is blown. I just finished watching The Grand Budapest Hotel and it is by far the greatest film that I have seen in ages. The story and characters are top notch. The dialogue is sheer genius full of humor, poetic beauty, and that melancholy undertone Wes Anderson is known for. A collection of amazing actors including Ralph Fiennes, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Edward Nortan, Jason Schwartzman, and in a very bit part his pic Owen Wilson. I urge anyone who loves movies to watch this right now. Rarely do I ever look at movies as art or really anything close to it but what Wes Anderson does in his movies Bottlerocket, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Life Aquatic, Rushmore and now The Grand Budapest Hotel is nothing short of breathtaking. The humor the beauty and the sublime melancholy that he is able to crate is mesmerizing. His films embody the worlds that Ive always wanted to find myself stumbling into. Alas it seems that will never happen so I find myself content to enjoy the works listed above over and over again. Once again if you are a movie lover you have to see this movie it is like nothing you have seen. imdb/title/tt2278388/
