My mom will be gone 5yrs in Jan. And today wouldve been her birthday. I have either gotten drunk or high every year on her birthday and her date of death since she died not wanting to feel any emotions on either date but today I did neither! I had the most special person come rescue me and take me to lunch and occupied my day with memories rather than drowning out my emotions and I am truly blessed by him and his willingness to keep me real to who I truly am! Its incredible when you remove the darkness instead of mask it how much room there is for joy and love!
