My moms worse fear has come to pass. She went back home Tuesday and I get a call late last night that she is confused, agitated and fighting staff. They are concerned she will hurt herself, my dad or a staff member. I get there and she proceeds to tell me how she feels about me. No big surprise there I have known that for years. I did talk her into letting me give her a shot. She would not let the staff come near her. I then shut the door and kept her from leaving the room. The confused are Very Strong. The shot finally worked and she laid down and finally went to sleep. How sad to have her go thru this. She never wanted to loose her mind. She wanted the Cancer to take her. A person who was such a faithful women would hate what the mind is doing. She will be admitted to a different elder psych unit on Friday. Again looking for a better life thru pharmacology.
