My morning had an unexpected detour this morning before I arrived at the office. 2 day old bull calf vs. the wily coyote - I bettered the odds by jumping out of my vehicle and walked the calf back to the herd - nice exercise this am - only 1/4 of a mile away not including all the zigzags we took along the way and stopping to fire on the coyote. Didnt hit the coyote - I only had my pistol. Although I probably wouldnt have hit it with a rifle either :)! At the office we had some more wildlife issues. A couple down the road came across an injured barn owl. We called our Texas Game Warden, Royce Ilse who came by the office and picked up the injured owl to take him to a woman who rehabilitates the winged variety. Game Warden Ilse also introduced us to his dog Rusty, a search & rescue dog. Just a couple of tidbits from my day. Have a great rest of the week!
