My most recent No Class award winner; On Saturday the Boardman Lions Club held a White Cane Collection in which we solicit funds from the community to help support eye-related causes. My friend and I were working outside Chalet Premier that cold morning when a fellow pulled in. My friend asked him, Would you like to help support our cause? Were asking for donations to help purchase a guide dog for a local family and for research into visual impairment. Nope, he said. We thanked him anyway, wished him a Happy St. Patricks Day, and he went in the store. When he came out a little later, he had a twelve-pack hoisted on his shoulder. When he passed us, he tipped the beer toward us and said, Heres to visual impairment.
