My mother Carol Hamlin, has always been the best mother anyone could have. She is loving, supportive, and brought me and my sister Debbie up in a Christian home. Church was a very important way for my Momma to help us learn about God. One of the most important lessons she always tried to teach me was to turn over all of my troubles to God and to have faith that I didnt have to handle things alone... to let Him lead my life. That was always so hard for me to do because I was stubborn and had to be in control. I came across this testimony from Oprah Winfrey which is very similar to mine in the fact that I too had to surrender all to God. After Oprahs brief testimony, Faith Hill gives an OK performance of my favorite hymns. So, I found another version that I prefer to listen to by Israel Houghton. I also found a version for the younger generation of a similar song by R. Kelly that my sons will like.
