My mother-n-law was very generous and amazing person. Helen Anne Parker passed away on June 28, 2013, at her home in Cicero, IN, with her husband at her side. Helen was born on March 9, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, to James and Helen Joyce. She graduated at the top of her class at Little Flower Catholic High and with an academic scholarship attended Immaculata College and Temple University in Philadelphia. Helen was a marketing professional with several notable advertising agencies and financial institutions in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York. She started in her career with N.W. Ayer and was a Media Buyer at Spiro & Associates in Philadelphia. She became a Media Director at the Al Paul Lefton agency in New York and Account Supervisor for VanSant Dugdale for Philadelphia National Bank (PNB). Helen was the first female Vice President, Officer, and Director of Marketing of a financial institution in the country at Baltimore Federal and was a Director of Advertising at Mellon Bank in Philadelphia. Working with the PNB, IBM, and Diebold companies, Helen was the key marketing counsel for the first modern day ATM money machine which was introduced nationally by the PNB MAC card in 1979. After moving to Indiana in 1990, Helen became an entrepreneur and business owner of Westfield Promotional Products and Trophies. At WPPT, Helen’s business was named “Business of the Year” and she was named “Westfield Chamber Member of the Year”. Helen and Richard, her husband of 32 years, and four dogs have lived in their country residence outside Cicero, IN, since 1990. Helen is survived by her husband, Richard Paul Parker of Cicero; her son, William Joseph Renninger of Anderson; her step-sons, Eric James Parker of Tampa, FL, and Richard Ian Parker of Queen Creek, AZ; her daughter-in-laws, Randi Renninger of Arcadia and Elizabeth Parker of Queen Creek, AZ; her mother-in-law, Betty Parker of Cicero; and her nine grandchildren: Rhiannon Renninger, Jonathon Renninger, Lauren Parker, Megan Parker, Michelle Parker, Isabella Grace Parker, Paris Lyn Parker, Madelyn Parker, and Liam Parker. A viewing will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 2, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM EST at Flanner and Buchanan - Memorial Park at 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. Funeral services will be held at the same location on July 3 starting at 11:00 AM EST. The phone number is 317-898-4462.
